Seeing Seattle: the View from the top of Green Mountain

Wow!  Check out the newest photo album "View from Green Mountain, February"!

From the back driveway to our land, we connect with a back road that heads right up to the top of Green Mountain.  On a clear day, it is possible to see Seattle and the Space Needle as you look down at the rolling hills from Granite Falls all the way back out to Puget Sound and across to the Olympic Mountains.

I took these on a day when it was starting to get a bit hazy out after a clear, but brisk morning.   We were excited to check out the view that we heard from one of our new neighbors.

Now, this being February and all, there was still some snow at the mountain top, but as you can see even this mountain road was pretty clear most of thw way.  We stopped at the snow line even though the road continues further upward.  However, I still was able to catch a couple frozen water cascades from the earlier thawing in January.
