Well, this winter does continue to surprise me. This MLK weekend turned out to be nice outside. The play of sun and clouds over the mountains, the snow sparkling on the ground like little crystals, a calmness and stillness to the days sans gusty winds. Ahhh, made for a great set of pictures to upload.
But, it is winter, and it is still cold outside, mid 30’s. It was a time for Glenn and I to hang out and house-sit. He actually had Friday off, so it made for a nice long weekend. We made the most of our limbo time with movies and barn chores. When the sun was shining, it felt great to stand in and soak up rays, weird how you could feel warm sun and cold air at the same time. Glenn took Shadow exploring around the pastures. They found a red headed woodpecker, easy to hone in on the quiet day, which we caught on camera too.
So, be sure to check out the latest photo album uploaded for some stunning shots. In the meantime, I’m preparing for my return to staying in the yurt as our neighbor returns from Belize. Boy, I’m really wishing I had a woodstove right in there right now.
