Quite the week this week. It was Uber’s time in the sun. We toss in a little sedation administered by the vet and add some shearing and toenail clipping, give ’em the ol’ snip-snip to turn him into a gelding, and voila, we have a new llama preparing for his entrance to the herd.
An entrance it shall be! Uber has not seen another llama in 6 years. When we brought him to the boarding pasture it was tail swishing, spit flying, llama posturing action! He has quickly become the fence pacer wanting to get right on in a duke it out with Stellar and Knight, the two top dawgs of the herd. Well, this Saturday, the prize fight begins. On Saturday, we shall be releasing Uber into the herd. I fully expect there to be lots of fireworks and am taking bets as to who will become the new Top Llama. Bring some popcorn and come on out.
In the meantime, we focused on the most mundane task of flooring while the crew is finally mudding the drywall. Flooring can make or break a room, especially when most of that room is wood of varying stains. We picked up a number of laminate samples and have been laying them down and think we have come close to a couple of decisions. Kitchen cabinetry, vanities, and wet bar cabinets are slated to arrive soon, so let the finish-out begin! Next on our radar screen will be all kind of lighting and plumbing fixtures.
