No really, it does hurt. So far I’ve managed a variety of cuts, sore muscles, a sprained wrist, and today, I cut into the top of my thumbnail…ouch is right! But we are dreadfully close to the final inspection. The crew is gunning for this week to have it done! This coming weekend we start to move into the house! We’ll be officially living there within 2 weeks! (keeping our fingers crossed, of course, in case this goes awry…)
I’m still awaiting the install of our Satellite Internet connection, but until then, I run into the town library to upload these photos for you, dear reader. I’m putting in some long hours and seem to be all over the board, so the frequency of my blog entries has been a bit decreased, but hopefully I will make up for it in all the photos uploaded. Be sure to cruise through them!
So Spring has definitely sprung up at the ranch, all the snow is finally gone and we’ve even had a 70 degree day. Yesterday, we all worked on planting the grass for our front and back yards now that the grading is finally complete. Our neighbor even let us borrow his tractor so we can harrow it and make it look nice and pretty. Just in time too, that evening the rain started up again. It’s been raining since then and the ground is very wet. Hopefully, the grass we start growing soon so that we will move past this muddy ground, construction site, phase soon. The llamas are getting a bit antsy to go walking and I’m curious to see how Uber hikes with the other 4 llamas since he is the new guy. So, if you are thinking of an escape from the city on the next beautiful day in Seattle, think of taking a drive on up to the ranch. I need some walkers to take up to the vista point behind the ranch (up Green Mtn).
