Organized Chaos…and the staining continues

Slowly the kitchen is starting to take shape, or more point, color.  All the cabinetry is getting stained.  We chose to use a little color in the weathered green staining of the cabinet facings… the idea being a mother nature-esque feel.  Everything is open as the urethane topcoat dries. Good thing I finished before the rain started sprinkling.  It was a nice warm sunny day for this project.

The dining room table is sorta situated and we’ve got some decorative items around.  But we keep shifting things around as we strive to complete the various staining around the trim and baseboards.

The front space is our staging area.   All of our artwork and assorted decorative items sit among the makeshift seating area and woodstove.

Upstairs, we continue to work on staining the shelving units and wood in the bathrooms. The wood in one master bath will be all colonial maple.  The walls will be painted a sage-like green.

Our shelving in the bedroom… once completed we’ll have a library.  Check out the rest of the photos in the photo album for the latest… but for now organized chaos reigns supreme.
