It was a happy day for the llamas yesterday as they all got to walk the llama line together! Paca Pride welcomed it’s first meeting-type event at the ranch. The Safeco Internal Audit group held their off-site meeting in our dining room. While not our "official" meeting location, it certainly served as a most inviting place to gather.
While they convened I communed with the llamas in the catch pen, haltering them all up for their excursion to the river. You could actually see the delight growing in their expressions as they realized that no llama was going to be left behind. It was a "llama all-in!"
Truly, this was the very first time that all the llamas have walked together. This would be a new experience for both myself and the animals. With all the posturing and pecking order going on among them, I was wondering who would want, or even demand, to be the first llama in line. How pleasantly surprised was I that they all fell into place and got along! I think this was the turning point finally for Uber finding his place within the herd.
Thanks goes out to the Safeco team for making this first hike an enjoyable one! A special thank you to Alan the team’s photographer for the day. He really captured some great moments. Enjoy the photo album!
