Fall fell…no mistaking it…

09-25-07 Fall Harvest in the mountains 007It’s a full moon tomorrow and there is a moist chill around in the mornings.  The summer says goodbye as the vine maples bring some color. Out to the garden we go to harvest what we can, pot what we shall keep growing under lights.  Lots of tomatoes that I believe shall ripen over time for a while. Still, I hear Glenn’s sister has some chutney recipes. I pulled basil and pepper plants out. Many of them coming into bloom or bearing fruit.  We can still accommodate them in containers and bring them out of the cold.

Red hot Thai Chile peppers are ready to ripen. This was the late start garden, so I didn’t expect much.  Hopefully they’ll do well in the containers.  09-25-07 Fall Harvest in the mountains 00309-25-07 Fall Harvest in the mountains 006  09-25-07 Fall Harvest in the mountains 008 09-25-07 Fall Harvest in the mountains 009   09-25-07 Fall Harvest in the mountains 019 09-25-07 Fall Harvest in the mountains 022

I visited your site nearly a year ago, and this summer was telling my sister about your use of yurts.  Today I finally found time to revisit and I am impressed with the amount of work you have accomplished.  Someday we will have to leave our Queen Anne location and drive up to see it.  Wonderful space you have here.
    Blessed be,
